This 4 bedroom vacation rental is the dream destination for those who are looking for leisure living, beautiful National Parks, endless trails to explore, and an incredible resort facility at Desert Color. This home is furnished with beautiful beds, comfy blankets, an open concept living/dining area, and in-house laundry! You will love stargazing on the rooftop deck, while your kids might enjoy the arcade game! While you will find everything you need to enjoy a great stay here at Mavericks Retreat, be sure to leave time to head over to The Shores Resort to enjoy all their fun amenities and activities!

At roughly 2.5 acres of surface area and sandy beaches, The Shores Resort Lagoon is the largest private body of water in the St. George area. The lagoon is the perfect place to swim, kayak, paddleboard, and much more! Recreation equipment can be rented on-site, as well as golf carts and cabanas (which can also be reserved at the time of booking). A gorgeous resort pool, 10-foot fire tables, and an oversized hot tub are just the beginning of the offerings at The Shores Resort. Roof-top Yoga classes, kid’s crafts and activities, 6 community pickleball courts, Food Truck nights, and even Dive-In Movies where you can watch a fun movie on the big screen from the pool or Lagoon are just some of the fun events you can experience when you stay at the Desert Color community!
Your key fob will also grant you access to the Springs Social Spa, an oversized hot tub area located on the corner of Marilla and Akoya Pearl Street. This is a gated area that a limited number of properties will have access to. The spa hours are 10 am to 10 pm.

Additionally, while staying in this property as our Vacation Rentals guest, take advantage of our local business discounts for places such as Tuacahn Amphitheater, Pizza Factory, Sand Hollow Golf, and more!

We would like to advise you that during this time, the Desert Color Community is experiencing ongoing construction in close proximity to your vacation rental. While this will not impact your use of any of the provided amenities, we want to remind all guests to only use the designated and completed roads and pathways, and to steer clear of any active construction activity. This will ensure not only your safety but the safety of the construction workers.

We had a wonderful stay. We loved that our place had enough seating for our large group and a huge table to play games. It was close to the lagoon so we could just walk over. They had a wagon for us to use so we didn’t have to carry everything as well. It was an enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed a nice stay here, great location and beautiful area - close to great hikes and enjoyed the lagoon! The hot tub was a nice feature too, we also loved that there were so many bathrooms for everyone to use. The home was slightly disappointing - oven wasn’t cleaned and dirty, it started smoking when we turned it on from what seems to be a spill from the previous stay. The ice machine was broken and didn’t work. The rugs and carpet seemed a little dusty, it could be cleaned better. We wish the kitchen was better stocked too. Overall it was still a nice stay, I would probably look into other homes in this area to rent for the future.

The lagoon at Desert Color is unlike anything we've ever experienced. The kids absolutely loved it. Wonderful condo. We would highly recommend staying here!

We loved staying here! The location was just outside the city, which was perfect for us. Stayed with two children, parents and a dog. We all had our own space, but yet the common living room area was big enough that you didn�t feel claustrophobic. Such a bonus having a bathroom attached to each room. Hot tub and entire house was very clean! We will stay here again for sure.

Mavericks retreat was such a cute, clean, and fun place for us to vacation. We got to bring our dog with us and everyone enjoyed staying there. We loved the hot tub on the top deck. Great location.

This property was the perfect spot for our spring break! We loved having a bathroom for each bedroom- It came in real Handy having a boy room and a girl room, so the girls didn't have to share with the teenage boys. We also appreciated that it was pet friendly, so our four legged family member actually got to come with us this time. The hot tub on the rooftop deck was also a favorite.

Reservation Guarantee

Our reservation guarantee allows you to book a trip with confidence. You will be entitled to refunds and rescheduling options not otherwise provided to guests who have opted “out” of this program. Without the reservation guarantee you will have a zero cancellation policy and zero reschedule policy. There will be absolutely no refunds unless Desert Color Resort is notified within 24 hours of the reservation being made. 24 hours after booking, should you have to cancel your reservation at any point, for any reason, you will lose what you’ve paid up to that point. By not purchasing the reservation guarantee, you will accept that you forfeit all monies paid if you have to cancel your reservation.

The Reservation Guarantee allows for:

A full refund 15+ days prior to arrival for 2-5 bedroom properties.
A full refund 45+ days prior to arrival for 6+ bedroom properties.

For cancellations made outside of the 45 or 15 days, Desert Color Resort refunds the entire amount of your payments made minus the cost of the reservation guarantee (which is only 7% of the total rent).

For cancellations made inside of the 45 or 15 day time frame, when refunds are no longer available, you will be allowed to reschedule your stay in that same property within 12 months, but no monies will be refunded. After the 12 months, all monies are forfeited.

Without the Reservation Guarantee, absolutely no refunds.
