Laguna Matata is one of a limited number of premium lagoon front homes in Desert Color Resort, located directly on the iconic two point five acre lagoon in St George. Designed for large groups, this professionally furnished home sleeps up to twenty nine guests across multiple en suite bedrooms and features a private heated pool and hot tub, expansive dining and gathering spaces, and panoramic resort views across three levels.

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful stay at this home! The location was absolutely perfect — close to everything we needed while still feeling private and peaceful. The house was perfect for our 22 people. We enjoyed being right on the beach and the perfect pool and hot tub. The house was big enough that we could get away from the crowd when necessary and yet intimate enough for a large gathering. All the supplies and TV's, games, and kitchen areas were neat and tidy and useful. Our only complaint was the lack of reliable internet and cell capability. That may be the fault of infrastructure that Desert Color needs to improve.

The host was unbelievably awesome! Pool was small but great size for the kids! Hot tub was nice to have! House was clean. Only Downside was the wristbands at the beach and getting questioned by staff but that was very minor and would stay here again!

Best experience at Desert Color thus far.

We decided to stay at this home for spring break with our kids and friends due to the fact it had a private pool and had beach access. It was our first stay with Ember, as we do typically stay with red rock. Ember delivered! Easy check-in, and they even anllowed us to access the home at noon, since that’s when we arrived. I also loved the checkout process. Sometimes when staying at a vacation home, you spend most of your last morning cleaning, pulling off bedding, preparing the home to be left. With ember, we were excited to receive an email that notified us that all we’d have to do is put the key cards and bracelets back where they went, and we could go on our way. I think that’s how they should all be done. Very pleased with our stay, and especially with this house. Great for multiple families. Kids loved the pool.

The private pool saved us! It was warm and the kids swam 24/7. The weather did not cooperate for lots of outdoor activities while we were there so happy to have the heated pool. Again did t get to use the lagoon as the weather was too chilly but looked super fun. The house had ample space and didn’t feel like we were squishing 27 people in it. Overall had a great time here.

Family Reunion

This property was even better than what we thought it would be. We had a party of 29 for a family reunion. Everyone came in from out of town & it was a perfect house for a big family gathering. All the adults had their own king bed & ensuite and the kids loved staying together in the bunk rooms. The pool was great & the property allows the kids to go right out to the 2.5 acre lagoon. There were already beach chairs and umbrellas for anyone to use around the lagoon. This property had kayaks and paddle boards for us to use, so we didn't need to rent any. The house sound system for the pool patio and 3rd floor worked, but we couldn't get the rest of the house to connect. The hosts responded quickly to any questions we had & when we had issues figuring out the sound system, they came right over to help. There were plenty of dishes & utensils for our big family. A few of the rooms had extra pillows and blankets in the closets. There is a washer/dryer on the 2nd & 3rd floors. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash was provided in each bathroom, including hand soap in all bathrooms & dish soap in the kitchen. There were 2 dishwashers, which was a huge help for us. We were especially grateful that for check out there wasn't a long list of cleaning that they required, especially since we pay for a cleaning fee, so we really appreciated the very easy check-in & check-out process. My family was asking if I could check to see if we could book this same house for next summer already!

We chose this beautiful home for our family reunion spot & could not have been more pleased! We all loved the spacious rooms, gorgeous kitchen, multiple bathrooms and decor. The home is literally right on the sandy beach. The kayaks and stand up paddle boards were a great amenity for kids and adults alike. The private pool was a lifesaver, as Desert Color closed the lagoon and beach every afternoon that we were there for an hour or more because of threat of a thunderstorm. When that happened our group just came back to our private pool to play. (We never had an actual thunderstorm the week we were there.) Pickleball courts across the street, 3 car garage and long driveway provides plenty of parking. The dining room and patio both have long dining tables to seat lots of people at mealtime. The kitchen is huge with a generous center island. Two dishwashers, two laundry rooms, tv’s in every bedroom, comfy beds, gaming systems, cool bunks, AMAZING! We loved every minute of our stay!!!

We had a large group and this house and resort were the perfect landing spot. Everyone commented that they don’t want to go anywhere else from here on out so we booked another Ember property for the coming year. Any questions we had were quickly answered and any issues we encountered (which were very minor) were resolved within minutes. Everyone also was thrilled to bits that we didn’t have to do any “chores” before checking out, giving us a few extra hours to enjoy the amenities instead. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated working with Ember Stays, so much so we will seek out these properties when booking in the future.

Amazing place for our retreat with our big group! Comfortable and decor of the house was beautiful and modern. Right next to the lagoon to access any time. Pickleball courts down the street! Had an amazing time here!

This property was even better than what we thought it would be. We had a party of 29 for a family reunion. Everyone came in from out of town & it was a perfect house for a big family gathering. All the adults had their own king bed & ensuite and the kids loved staying together in the bunk rooms. The pool was great & the property allows the kids to go right out to the 2.5 acre lagoon. There were already beach chairs and umbrellas for anyone to use around the lagoon. This property had kayaks and paddle boards for us to use, so we didn't need to rent any. The house sound system for the pool patio and 3rd floor worked, but we couldn't get the rest of the house to connect. The hosts responded quickly to any questions we had & when we had issues figuring out the sound system, they came right over to help. There were plenty of dishes & utensils for our big family. A few of the rooms had extra pillows and blankets in the closets. There is a washer/dryer on the 2nd & 3rd floors. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash was provided in each bathroom, including hand soap in all bathrooms & dish soap in the kitchen. There were 2 dishwashers, which was a huge help for us. We were especially grateful that for check out there wasn't a long list of cleaning that they required, especially since we pay for a cleaning fee, so we really appreciated the very easy check-in & check-out process. My family was asking if I could check to see if we could book this same house for next summer already!

We chose this beautiful home for our family reunion spot & could not have been more pleased! We all loved the spacious rooms, gorgeous kitchen, multiple bathrooms and decor. The home is literally right on the sandy beach. The kayaks and stand up paddle boards were a great amenity for kids and adults alike. The private pool was a lifesaver, as Desert Color closed the lagoon and beach every afternoon that we were there for an hour or more because of threat of a thunderstorm. When that happened our group just came back to our private pool to play. (We never had an actual thunderstorm the week we were there.) Pickleball courts across the street, 3 car garage and long driveway provides plenty of parking. The dining room and patio both have long dining tables to seat lots of people at mealtime. The kitchen is huge with a generous center island. Two dishwashers, two laundry rooms, tv’s in every bedroom, comfy beds, gaming systems, cool bunks, AMAZING! We loved every minute of our stay!!!

The house was perfect. It had amenities to make our family feel at home. Loved the location right near the lagoon. Our grandchildren had a blast playing with each other.

We had a large group and this house and resort were the perfect landing spot. Everyone commented that they don’t want to go anywhere else from here on out so we booked another Ember property for the coming year. Any questions we had were quickly answered and any issues we encountered (which were very minor) were resolved within minutes. Everyone also was thrilled to bits that we didn’t have to do any “chores” before checking out, giving us a few extra hours to enjoy the amenities instead. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated working with Ember Stays, so much so we will seek out these properties when booking in the future.

Awesome place, feels like you are on a beach vacation in Utah. House came with paddleboards and kayaks which was nice. Kids loved the bunk rooms. Host was very accommodating. Will stay here or at anther one of their properties again!

This home exceeded expectations for our group. We own a real estate company and we brought our team here for team bonding and mentorship. It was the perfect place for that!
